SDCBOA User’s Guide


I am a Current Member, what do I do?
If you are a current member, click Join to create an account.  It may take up to 72 hours to verify your information and activate your account, at which time you will be able to login using your email address and password at the top right of the home page. You will be able to view all the members only pages and get the latest announcements from the association.  Contact the website administrator if you are unable to login.
 

How do I become a member?
If you would like to become a member, click Join to apply for membership.  You may receive additional information by email. Feel free to visit the website and contact us if you have any questions.
 

How do I login?
If you haven’t done so already, create an account by clicking Join and filling out the form.  Once an account has been created and your membership verified, you will be able to enter your email and password at the top of the screen and click Login.

 

What’s my password?
If you can’t remember your password, click Forgot Password at the top right of the home page.  Enter your email address and click send.  Your password will be emailed to you.

 

How do I change my email address, password, phone number, and/or address?
Login and click My Account.  Modify your account information and click Submit.

 

How do I upload pictures?
You can use almost any online photo gallery to upload your photos.  We recommend using Picasa from Google.

  1. Upload photos to Picasa (or your favorite photo gallery):

    • Create a Picasa Account (or Login if you have an existing account)

    • Download the latest version of Picasa (if you don't have it)

      • Install and run Picasa

      • Click Sync to Web to upload your photos

  2. Create a Slide Show:

    • Login to your Picasa Account

    • Picasa automatically creates a slide show from your uploaded photos

    • Select an Album to add titles, descriptions, and comments to your photos

    • Select an Album and click Slide Show to see it in action

  3. Copy the “code” to link to this online gallery.

    • Login to your Picasa Account

    • Select an Album

    • Click "Link to this Album"

    • Click "Embed Slideshow"

    • Copy the text in the yellow box (click the yellow box to highlight and then hit Ctrl-C)

  4. Email the website administrator and include:

    • Slide Show Title - "My Slide Show"

    • Slide Show Description - "Officials in Action"

    • Pasted Code from Above (hit Ctrl-V)  - "<embed ... "

If you have existing photographs on Picasa or another online service, please send the html code or website address to the website administrator.  We do not recommend using Flickr, Snapfish, or Kodak Gallery because they do not offer linkage to an external website.
 

How do I upload videos?
You can use almost any online video gallery to upload your videos.  We recommend using YouTube.

  1. Upload videos to YouTube (or your favorite video gallery):

    • Create a YouTube Account (or Login if you have an existing account)

    • Click Upload > Video File (yellow button top right)

    • Click "Upload Video" to search your computer

  2. Modify Video:

    • Login to your YouTube Account

    • Click "My Videos" under your user name

    • Select a Video to enter titles, descriptions, comments, and other settings

    • Select a Video and click play to view it in action

  3. Find and Copy the “code” to link to this video.

    • Login to your YouTube Account

    • Select a Video

    • Click the up arrow in the bottom right corner and select the control panel icon

    • Copy the text under "Embed" (click the box and then hit Ctrl-C)

  4. Email the website administrator and include:

    • Video Title - "My Video"

    • Video Description - "Officials in Action"

    • Pasted Code from Above (Ctrl-V) - "<object ..."

If you have existing videos on YouTube or another online service, please send the html code or website address to the website administrator.

 

How do I get my assignments?
There are a number of companies that offer products for scheduling and assigning sports officials. 
If the association uses one of these tools, login and click Assignments.
 

How do I find my schedule?
Your schedule may be available online.  If so, login and click Schedule (under Assignments) on the left side of the page.  This will take you to your schedule.  You may be directed to another website and asked to login.

 

How do I see the roster?
The roster may be available online.  If so, login and click Officials (under Assignments) on the left side of the page.  This will take you to the official's roster.  You may be directed to another website and asked to login.

 

How do I find schools?
The school locations may be available online.  If so, login and click Locations (under Assignments) on the left side of the page.  This will take you to the list of locations.  You may be directed to another website and asked to login.

 

How do I download forms?
Login and click Forms & Downloads (under Members).  If you don’t see the form you want, contact the website administrator to request a downloadable form.
